About R.L. DeWitte (Richard L Witt).
Richard was born and raised in a small city in Western Maryland. It was, and for that matter is, one of those towns where almost everyone knows everyone else. His mother was an elementary school teacher and his father was one of the few local pharmacists.
Although a product of twelve years of Catholic education he likes to think that he is open-minded enough to listen to and consider everyones opinion, whether he thinks they are right or not!
Classically trained in political science, he quickly discovered that computers held much more fascination than any international trade debate could. Always focused on working with people to bring out their best, he discovered his Irish heritage had blessed him with a great “gift of gab” as well as a healthy sense of humor.
Employeed with companies like IBM, Apple, Tandy and even the US Government for some time, did not change his desire to walk outside the normal career path and seek, like water, his own level.
Over the year’s he has been fortunate to work a variety of occupations and with some wonderful people. At the tender age of 49 he is currently pursuing his lifelong dream of writing, story-telling and being a voice of consciousness for those like him, who don’t know any better.
The diversity of issues surrounding us today call for a voice that is not afraid to present the facts and help people decide for themselves.
While a compilation of short-stories is under way, his current project is: “Forked to Death: America dying one bite at a time”
In a time when we have access to more information than ever in the history of the civilized world, we are still searching for those who can just sum it up and give us the details. FTD is designed to be a primer for people around the world who want to know: what’s in their food, who put it there, and what to do about.
